SKILLS / GAMES CAMP
The skills camp emphasis will be on individual skills, fundamentals and beginning team strategy. Areas covered will include hitting, outfield play, infield play, pitching, rundowns, baserunning, sliding double plays. Games will be played in the afternoon.
HIGH SCHOOL SHOWCASE
The high school camp is intended for All High School Students. The format of the camp will be as follows: each camper will be placed on a team for the duration of camp. Each team will play one game a day and also have one practice session each day. The games will be nine innings and the practice sessions will concentrate on hitting, bunting, individual defensive positions, baserunning and pitching. This camp is for players with intentions of playing college baseball. The camp will place an emphasis on players to showcase their skills to college coaches working the camp.
All campers enrolled in the sumer overnight camps will report to Eddy D. Field Stadium between 3-5pm on the first day of camp. Rooms will be assigned at check in. There are two campers per room with private showers and toilets available. Additionally, there is 24 hour supervision. Check out will be at 3pm on the last day of the camp session. CHECK-IN & CHECK OUT
All campers enrolled in the specified overnight camp sessions should report to Eddy D. Field Stadium, located above the swimming pool on the Pepperdine University campus in Malibu between 3PM and 5PM. Rooms will be assigned at check-in. There are two campers per room with private showers and toilets available. Additionally, there is 24-hour supervision. Check-out will be at 4:00PM on the last day of your camp session.
Following check-in on the first day of your session, there will be a barbeque beginning at 5PM, and a short workout after dinner. If you have any questions, see the Contacts page for phone numbers of the Malibu Baseball Camp.
Resident campers must accept the responsibility for mature behavior. Campers are expected to follow noise and curfew rules, respect the privacy and property of others, and obey all other University rules.
ACCOMODATIONS
Malibu Baseball Camp will be utilizing one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country. Pepperdine University features comfortable living accommodations in attractive dormitories with staff members on duty at all times. Campers will have access to private showers.
FOOD
DURING SUMMER SESSIONS ONLY delicious wholesome meals will be served in the university cafeteria. The cafeteria gives you a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean while you eat. Vegetarian meals available by request.
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP - SUMMER
We recommend:
Five T-shirts, playing shorts, five pair of socks, five pair of underwear, an athletic supporter and cup, a pair of practice pants, bathing suit, a sleeping bag or bed sheets for a single bed, pillow, laundry bag, toilet articles, baseball bat and glove, batting glove, baseball shoes, towels, and some spending money for souvenirs and pizza. You may modify this list to meet your needs. Please place the player's name on each item in case something gets lost.
